I was just on the Empress in May to Bermuda...You will love it! I love the Big Ships, but even though this one is not huge, she is still beautiful. The cabins are a bit smaller than most, but don't let that discourage you...you won't spend much time in it anyway. The food, the service and the ship is great, and you are going to Bermuda! It doesn't get much better than that!

readytosail, I've not been on the Empress yet but have read lots about it since I'll be on her in Sept. The negatives seem to be the small room sizes comparied to the larger ships and fewer ammenities (not basketball court, no flowrider, no cinema, no huge shopping area). The positives are that she has a lot of classy charm, like some wooden decks. She's also smaller and easiter to navigate, especially for first time cruisers. I'm looking forward to boarding her in three weeks and seeing beautiful Bermuda - as long as the weather permits.

Yes, I'll write a review after the cruise. I can hardly wait - less than three weeks. Lots to do before then. We're remodeling our kitchen. Maybe they can do most of the work while we're gone.

I sailed on this ship 13 years ago. It's a small ship, but cozy. Yes cabins are smaller on this ship, but the service is wonderful. Only 1 swimming pool. Mini casino. You sure can meet a lot of people on a smaller ship.
