Did I have fun? You bet!
I'm still working on my review...I think it's much too long, but it was a long cruise, so there was a lot to talk about! I'm also working on an online photo album so I will let you know when that's up. I literally took more than 1,000 pics, so I'm going to have to whittle it down!
kclvt, it was pretty nice in Bayonne the day we left - 50 degrees and sunny. The first sea day was pretty chilly and the second sea day was so-so. On the way back, the second-to-last sea day was very nice and warm, but the last day was cold and very, very rocky. We were pitching all over the place.
Overall, the Explorer was beautiful, we loved it. I don't know that we will take another 12 day, though. We're late 20s and I would say the vast majority of the passengers were upwards of 70. So we didn't really fit in. We did meet some nice people though, the ports were FANTASTIC, the food was amazing, it was great. I will post a review soon.
We're looking at the NCL Gem out of NYC next year...or possibly one of the newer Carnival or Princess ships, but I detest flying, so that will require me to suck it up and fly down to Fort Lauderdale
