Dirty Jobs

I was watching TV last night, and saw a preview for an upcoming episode of Dirty Jobs that takes place on the Liberty of the Seas. I didn't catch when the episode airs, but I'm sure that's easy enough to look up. I'm a fan of the show, and it has got to be pretty cool to see them spend a week or so on the ship. Anyone else catch this?

I would love to find out. My wife loves the show and I watch it with her. I wonder what the dirty job will be?

Actually that episode aired Tuesday night... so unless they do a re-run (which actually I think they do) you missed it. It was a "best of" type of show and the whole dirty jobs crew was going on their first vacation in 2 years. There were many scenes taken on the Liberty where Dave Rowe does the narrative for the outtakes from the normal shows that make up the whole episode. It was fun to watch, keep your eyes out for when they replay it.

I'm sure they will replay it. So none of the dirty jobs were on the ship itself? They were basically just narrating some of their favorite, previous jobs during their vacation on the Liberty?

I'm gonna check out that other thread.

Yup, it showed the crew having a great cruise (like we all do) partying and such with outtakes based on each of the people associated with the show; not as much about the ship as a I would like to have seen.

I caught the episode this weekend....total clip show. You were right about not seeing the ship as much as I would have liked. Still, I like all episodes of Dirty Jobs.
Also, I was thinking if I was a passenger on the ship, would their presence have annoyed me or been cool? I wonder if they ever closed down certain areas of the ship for them to film.

Good question, Mike. I know someone who was onboard the ship when they were filming, and said it didn't get in their way. Most of the filming was done during the day when most pax were off the ship, or in areas off-limits to pax. She also mentioned that she saw them carrying equipment around (including a cardboard cutout), but no complaints about anything.

That's funny that you mention the cardboard cutout. Apparently a member of their crew recently left, and they had a cutout of him doing all the activities - getting massaged, ice skating, hanging out, etc.
