Can anyone tell me how the Nordic Empress is(food, shore excursions, kids programs etc.)

I have read that she was re-done recently.
Also any cabin recomendations (outside balcony)for this ship - sailing dates are Jan 10-17 2004.

my family will be sailing on the nordic empress in april 2004. according to my travel agent - the ship will be re-done around mid-april 04.
i would love to hear all about the ship from you after your vacation. and your excursion too.

The ship is screaming for its renovation. Right now it is not well maintained and dirty.

We had a window, but no balcony. The staterooms are small but adequate. We actually had more space for our clothes than on many ships with larger cabins. No safes in most rooms.

Children seemed to love the ship, and it was loaded with them. Even the high school age kids had a great time with their group, including a midnight pool party and we believe a slumber party. We were traveling without children ourselves, these are observations.

The food is good. I have had better and I have had far worse. If you are unhappy with your selection, your waiter will be happy to change it.
