booking land excursions

Just wondering if it would make more sense to book a few land excursions,(have in mind stringray) in Grand Cayman, should I book with the cruise ship now online or wait untill I get on the ship?

Hi Wendy,

If you are going with tours through the cruise line, it is best to do it now online rather than waiting until you get on the ship. You'll have a better choice as some tours could book up by the time you get to the ship.

When booking tours, I typically do it online and get it out of the way. That way I don't have to worry about it once I board the ship.

There's really no down side to booking in advance. It's fast and easy, and if you need to cancel, the tours are refundable outside of 24 hours before the tour departure.

If you're sure about which tours you want, I'd book 'em, Danno.

Booking them aboard the ship is easy, too, if you know what tours you want. You just fill out a form and drop it at the Shore Excursion desk. Or, if you're not sure which tours you want, you can go to the shore excursion talk that's given on the first day, but then you run the risk of everyone wanting the same tour, and not getting the tour/departure time you want.

do you have to pay when you book the excursions or after your trip is over is it included on the bill?

What I liked about booking online by credit card, was that my tickets were delivered right to my room once I was onboard...no line ups or money changing hands.
