Welcome back kskelley40, sorry to hear the weather did not cooperate. I know you had to enjoy the Freedom, though. Did you book your next cruise on board? What did you enjoy the most? Looking forward to seeing what you select for your next one.

No, we did not book another one on board.

We are going to wait and do another "big" cruise in 2010, maybe the Panama Canal.

For 2009, we are going to try to do smaller, last minute cruises. Basically, on which cruise line has the best deals.

I am self employed and my husband owns his own business so he can take time off with about 1-2 weeks notice. So, I can going to keep an eye on the rates and get the best deals.

As far as the Freedom, the best things on board were:
*Mystery Dinner Theater
*Shows
*Casino
*Activities on board; trivia, scavenger hunt, contests etc...
*Flowrider and rock wall
*THE CREW MEMBERS!! Outstanding!

The least favorite things were:
* The ports - was not impressed with Ocho Rios or Labadee. Although the Flight Line in Labadee was outstanding, we returned to the ship after it. Not much for laying around in the sun. The ship was great without the crowds.

The ship itself reminded me of the Navigator, just a little bigger. Beautiful!

That sounds fantastic. I'm debating on a Panama Canal or a Med cruise. At least with the canal we wound't have air fare, which is totally ridiculous. Ocho Rios is just ok, but I don't care if I don't get back there. Sorry you didn't like Labadee. I keep getting such great offers for last minute cruises and it's so hard to not book them. But we have the two week coming up in December and it was way too expensive for my budget, so I have to be good. I sure hope they have some good deals next year, too. As soon as I can get the credit card paid down some, I can start charging again We only have the one cruise booked for next December right now, so surely I can squeeze a couple of short ones in the budget. Hope you were able to stand up on the Florider, I know I'd biff in a split second.

Did you happen to hang out at all at Bolero's? I think the staff that worked there were fantastic. I miss them!!!
