Hi

I've filled in all online forms etc, while myself and my boyfriend have separate sea pass cards, is it possible that if say I have his card I can sign for items etc and vice versa, Im sure we did this last time I just cant find where to do it on the online check in. I have my own credit card assigned to my seapass card but it would be handy if I needed to use his ahem!!! think I did this through guest relations last time -

thank you

You need to use your own card. Using someone else's card is not allowed, although frankly it depends on where it is used. A bartender is more likely to refuse it than a gift shop clerk. The bartender will look at the name and the clerk is less likely to do so.

Regardless, please don't do that. Each of you use your own cards and you'll feel better.

But Id nearly swear that we both put each others name on our cards, ie I had him asigned to sign on my card and vice versa, nearly 99.99999% sure. Its only a small thing but it would be handy at night, as we're going with a married couple and I dont want it to look like we're going dutch! but we are!

Yes Dave, I think you can do that. If each person uses a credit card for their account, you can add people that are allowed to charge to that account. But I would think they then would get their own card???

I am confused now. I know I always use one credit card and give everyone on my booking approval for using that account. How can two people share a card and how does the cruise line know which credit card to charge for X charge?

I could be wrong here, but it sounds like what she is saying is they each have separate credit cards which they set up their sail and signs with. They put each other down as being authorized to charge. If she takes his sail and sign card and charges something, she signs for the charge, but it will then be charged against his account. He couldn't dispute the charge because she is authorized to use that account.

Hi,

Yes cruise fanatic and cruise boy are correct I have my own credit card asigned to my sea pass card and he has his own credit card asigned to his. Its just for convenience that we can both sign each others. so will I take it that its possible and i didnt dream it up that we did this previously?
