Hello out there, anyone been to pisa in Italy?

Hey there...i have traveled to pisa a few times in the past through a tour of europe....it was great! the tower of course was something for sure to see as well as the surrounding towns with little shops! I can't wait till my next trip back to europe!

thanks for replying, if you had the choice would it be florence or pisa for day trip?

That is most definatly a toss up...florence was beautiful as well...you have the park with the statue of "david". But i think i would choose pisa...nothing beats walking up and seeing the tower for the first time. i remember thinking to myself...am i really here!!! there is also a
small church infromt of the tower where a guide will take a group of people inside and sing...the accoustics are amazing..its sounds like a whole chorus singing!IM JEALOUS!!

I was in Naples ! But I haven´t seen pisa... It was really great to see Naples!

hi we went to pisa after docking in livorno 2 years ago. we didnt do florence as it was about 90mins by coach whereas pisa was 20 mins by coach. there is a samll market outside the field of miracles area and in the field there is the amazing site of pisa. the church and other building is also very interesting. We spent the morning there but came away wishing we had got into the queue to go up the tower. We will get a taxi there this year and get int he queue. An advantage of a tour is that they will talk you through the area and take you on a tour of the church to. I seem to remeber there is someone dead in a glass coffin in there. my sons are teenagers and thought that was very macab. Anyway we loved it. enjoy whatever you do but dont go on any boat trips around livorno ....waste of money.......
