"expedited luggage service" disembarkation?

This service was described by a previous "Serenade" passenger. The fee was $15.00 and allowed you to receive airline boarding passes on board the ship prior to disembarking,checked in luggage w/o going through customs and shuttled you to the airport in Vancouver. I made my inlaws return flight to Hawaii at 11:10a.m. This would be a helpful service in this situation if it is real.

Hmmm, I have never heard of it, but then there is a lot I have not heard about. The best way to get off early is to either take your own luggage off yourself or to make sure you have early colored luggage tags. Diamond members gain priority disembarkation, so if you are a repeat cruiser on RCI, this might be a possibility. Hope that helps. Vancouver is not necesarily a difficult port to navigate, so it might be a mute point.

I just got off the Explorer of the Seas in Miami and this expedited service was offered for American Airlines only. It is my understanding that this was a service often offered pre-911, and is now being reinstated on a trial basis at certain ports with certain airlines.
