Hello! We returned from our cruise on Explorer of the Seas. Our room was a junior suite #1624, on Deck 10. We both thought the balcony was very private. The partitions between each balcony was wall like, you could not see through them AT ALL. If you stuck your neck out real far, you could see the lower balconies, with a hazy plastic like partition, which to me looked like you could see through it. The only time we saw other people, was when we were standing directly up against the balcony rail. Our room stuck out on a curve, (refer to Explorer deck layout),so our balcony was out to the side a little more. There was a outside deck above us, and they could not see below to our balcony. That was our second cruise, and 1st balcony. We paid $800 extra total for a
JS, so we upgraded from a regular balcony. We think a regular balcony room would be just fine next time. The view from deck 10 was fabulous. Our balcony had a table, 2 chairs and a chaise lounger. Enjoy!!
