''freedom of the seas''

We are cruising freedom of the seas in 6 days and I was wondering, if anyone ever took a cab to the port of miami and how much did it cost approx. And do we get to go on the ship earlier then they say, our flight is at 615 and we don't wanna be to bored waiting around that's why we are going to take a cab it will be 4 of us going.

Hello kimski, welcome to Cruise-Chat. You'll probably be able to board around 11:30 am. Hard to say, it depends on how quick they clear the ship. You may want to consider taking a shuttle from the airport with 4 people. We like Top shuttle. The cost for 4 people is only $50 plus tip. If you want more information on rates for Top shuttle CLICK

We had four people and the Taxi "captain" at the airport got us a mini van or SUV taxi. I think it cost us $25 bucks plus tip. It really depends on the amount of luggage you have. (I think we had 13 bags! My girls travel lite

There was no probelm getting taxis.. they were constantly flowing from the airport.

or you can take Sonny's suggestion and get the shuttle..

As long as you can get a taxi to accommodate four people with luggage, it's a better deal than a shuttle. Make sure you know what you're paying before you get into a taxi. We never had any problems with taxis or shuttles in the past.

Than you so much for your replies, I just cant wait to go on my cruise on sunday yipppeeee, we are flying down early in the am and will be there in plenty of time to board the ship
