The ship was okay, but it is time for its renovation. Carpeting was worn out in the cabins. The ships hull even looks tired, and this is representative of the entire ship. Basic maintanance, including cleaning the windows and mirrors was lacking. Contrary to what the cruise line claims, most people did not have safes in their cabins, which is a big negative. Tiny cabins, but adequate. While we were onboard, a climbing wall was being installed, but skating nd basketball is not available. This is a relatively small ship, which we prefer. Children loved the activities and the ship was overloaded with children,(this was a Thanksgiving cruise.)
I would avoid this ship until the revamp is done this spring. After this has been done, I would be willing to reconsider the ship, but not before.
Food was good and service outstanding.
Had we not sailed on the Grandeur before, we would say never again to RC.
