I am going on my 10th cruise on the Soverign of the Seas on Sept 24, 2006. We love the ship and the people who work on her. Any questions concerning her just ask.

Hi ceemonster, welcome to cruise-chat. I haven't been on the Soverign since her renovation. Is there a concierge lounge now?

They did in April 2006 when we sailed the last time. It is the also the departure lounge for Crown & Anchor Guests. They also added extra confernce lounges for business meeting. It also has balconies now on deck 10 and we have stayed in them 2 times now. The renovation was good for the ship.

Good! I'm seriously thinking about booking for the 9/25 sailing. I'm sailing on the Freedom on 10/15 but I'd like to see what they did to the Soverign. The price is only $450 for the two of us (a no brainer). It should make the time fly by quicker until our Freedom cruise. I'll have to add another ticker if I book.

SOS could be either the Soverign, Serenade, or the Splendor of the Seas. The Soverign sails on 9/25 and the Serenade, and Splendor sail on 9/24. Is everyone talking about the same ship? If so, maybe we can all meet.

Hey Sonny

Well as long as I can remember the Soverign has always been refered to has the SOS ship( hahaha). But it is a cruise that is convinent for us. I leave early on Friday from work and get back to work by 9 am on Monday so I don't have to use any vacation time for it. Its relaxing and we know most of the waiters and bartenders on board the ship. The bad thing on the ship is that they took away the bar stools by the pool bar. So we hang alot in the Schooner Lounge if our favorite bar tenders are there, (Troy and/or Michael). Well you should go on it but spend some dollars and get a balcony cabin.

Later

Ceemonster

Hey Teresaw, it's offical, my wife and I will be on the SOS when you are. We talked some friend of ours that live in Daytona to cruise with us. When I found out there was an concierge lounge, I couldn't resist. Sea ya on board...
