I have to agree with SonnyV, the weather is becoming less humid, so pick more outdoorsy/physical excursions if you want. Also, be warned that hurricane season is still in effect I beleive, or just ended, so there is a slight threat. However, the great thing about a cruise is that the boat can deviate and unless the storm is at the harbor you are launching at, there is little risk of cancellations. Hope you have fun!

SONNYV - unfortunately, hurricane season goes through the end of November. And we in Florida are hoping that this year's season isn't as bad as the last couple also!

Last year we were on a 2 week in November, there were 2 hurricanes brewing. We did have rain in 6 ports, but did not have to miss any of our itinerary. I sure hope this year is more calm. In fact, it would be nice if Alberto was the one and only. We're sailing in October this year as well, we've always been blessed with perfect weather, but I pack rain ponchos just in case. I found them at WalMart for $.84/ea. in the sporting goods department. They fold up to 2x6x1/2" and weigh about 3 ozs. Here's to beautiful weather and a wonderful cruise!!

I stand corrected. Hurricane season is from June 1st to November 30th. I relate to my Oct. 24th cruise last year when Wilma hit. I was stranded in my hotel for two days. Everyone on the ship had a two day extended cruise for free because the port was closed.
