shore cruise to Little Havana or Everglades

Has anybody done either of these (Little Havana or the Everglades) and what did you think?

I was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale and the Everglades was a weekend getaway that we did often. My dad had friends with airboats. It was a real blast!! It depends on what your interests are, the glades contains a wonderful eco-system and, to me, is very beautiful. I'm assuming Little Havana is Miami Beach, at least it was what we referred to as little Havana when I lived there. Haven't been there in a long time, but the food would be great. Hope this helps a little.

Our daughter lives in Florida. We went to Captain Doug's in Everglade City and took an airboat ride in January and April. It was great! The Everglades are fascinating and, like penny3333 said, very beautiful. The airboat ride is exciting. My 84 year old mother and our 18 year old granddaughter were with us and both enjoyed the ride, too. After visiting the Everglades, it makes me believe that more people should be aware of the beauty and work to protect that eco-system.
