Do they have a different menu for children in the dining room? I have seen the regular menu and didn't see anything listed that you would normally on a kids menu.

Yes. The usual stuff that one sees on a children's menu in a restaurant...mac and cheese, hot dog, burger, chicken fingers, fries, etc. Here is one from 2004. It hasn't changed much, if at all. You sometimes have to ask them for the menu. We'd usually order something from it for our son when he was smaller but then also get him an appetizer or something else from the regular menu. We found that he liked many things from the main menu, and this was a good way to introduce him to new foods.

Thanks Dave. Our 8 year old daughter is a picky eater but I believe she is going to do fine with these choices.

My girls were the same way.. mac and cheese was all they would get until we started taking them on cruises. They started with the mac and cheese and maybe they would try something from the menu... by their second cruise, they were just ordering off the regular menu and even had foods that they "hoped" would be served on that cruise!

Try it with your picky eater. The waiters don't mind at all to bring them two meals (and it doesn't cost you anything to ween them from the kids menu this way)

LOL our son (4) was a picky eater on our cruise! We would eat either at Sorrento's or Windjammer for lunch and he would eat only pizza. At dinner in the dining room he would only order pizza. The first night our waiter would bring him a slice at a time and had to make 3 trips to fill him up. The rest of the nights he got smart and brought him one plate with 3 pieces. They nicknamed him their "little pizza boy". We couldn't believe all that delicious food and he ate nothing but pizza for every meal!

We have gotten a childrens menu- butmy kids have always ordered from the regular adult menu. We don't go on a cruise for nuggets and mac and cheese. And we tell the kids that. If they realy hate everything on the menu we let them get something from the other restaurants later. but we hold an expectation that there is something on that menu they like. We also encourage them to get an appetizer and a soup as well.
