I have booked a cruise around the Med on 20th September 2008. We have front cabins 8216 and 8218. Does anyone know anything about these cabins and if being up the front of the boat is a good thing or bad thing.
Has anyone any info on what excursions to book, or whether to go it alone at the ports.
Many thanks for your help

hi welcome what ports of call are on your itinerary. Also have you checked out rccl website On ports of calls. They have a number of excursions available. They have also videos of some of the excursions. You can go ahead and do your own thing but the good thing booking with rccl is that your guaranteed you won't get left behind.

I have just returned from that cruise and I would say if you haven't been to any of the places listed, then get off ship even if it's just for a short while. An absolute must is Rome, but be careful which tour you opt for as we were guided around, on foot, for three hours, very very hot but no break in between. Too much in too little time. Pisa is worth a look. Cannes a must for shopping and just because it's Cannes (perhaps that's just a female opinion). Vigo wasn't up to much but the scenery as you approach is stunning. Lisbon has an amazing aquarium, the best in Europe, if you're into that sort of thing. Oh and Gibraltar is lovely. Get a taxi tour bus to take you up the rock for a quicker and better look, this will also include a look around the caves. Hope this helps.
