We will be on the Sep 20th sailing, Eastern Caribbean, I would like to know if anyone knows if the mopeds you can rent on the islands are appropriate for riding with our 4 year old. This is our first cruise and we are very excited, any info or suggestions you have would be great, also does anyone know if you can put locks on your suitcases or do they have to search them after you check them in.

RE: Mopeds - It really depends on which specific ports you are visiting, but my first reaction is NO. Having seen a number of tourist accidents on mopeds at various ports - The road conditions, unfamiliar terrain, and local traffic all make scooters a somewhat dangerous mode of transportation (particularly with a little one in tow). Of course this is my opinion, coming from a "mom".

we are also going on explorer on sept.20th/it will be my husband,myself,12yr old boy,15yr old boy,18 yr.old girl.this will be our first cruise on explorer,but our third cruise all together
