In reference to your question on RCL..."My Time Dining", you may want to refer to the attached link below. It details the requirements, ships available for My Time Dining, times, gratuities, and rules of My Time Dining on RCCL.
This seems to be a relatively new concept on many cruise lines. While NCL has Freestyle dining, just eat when you want and where you want, both RCL and Princess (Anytime Dining) have some restrictions. I am sure the attached link will answer all questions.

Not sure about your weeks Sonny but we're already confirmed and have pre-paid our tips (which is required) for our Indy cruise on the 18th.

My husband and I had My Time Dining on The Freedom of the Seas in November. We enjoyed it. Not being tied in to a specific dining time works better for us. We were seated in the same general area so got to know several other passengers and the dining room personnel. You are required to pre-pay your gratuities.
Hello debballard, welcome to Cruise-Chat! I called the diamond plus desk tonight and found out I can do the My Time Dining. I believe it will only be in the forth deck dining room. I'm going to try it. I like to meet people and this will be a great opportunity to do just that.
I enjoy the NCL concept of Freestyle Dining, and I'm sure My Time Dining, will catch on...It is nice to be able to eat when you decide you are hungry.....Happy eating and sailing in 2009....
