We were on Western Mediterranean cruise on Voyager of Seas 2 wks ago. First had noticed smell of mildew on walking down our hall to our stateroom. On arr found our toilet not working and tried to flush and it overflowed; this happened again 3 or 4 nites later. On return from shore excursions noted sewer-like odor on our hallway 3 nites. Rom service forgot our order for 0630 brkfast one morning. Smell of smoke everywhere - even on balcony from room. Smokers everywhere - couldn't escape. Some areas seemed rundown - especially the adults only pool - many broken tiles and adult pool closed 2 days. Spa hot tub broken as well. Manicure was $44.00 and ok. Meals good to excellent; waiter was highlite of cruise. Shore excursions a must in rome and florence as both very crowded and hot and long lines to get tkts if not with a group. Lunch in Monaco included on our tour excursion was great. Eze was quaint and gorgeous. Barcelona is wonderful; worth 2 or 3 days if u can add on; fun and interesting and easy place to tour. Sicily and Naples more fun than Rome and Florence and people friendlier and not so crowded. I would give cruise ship a D, excursions B and Nice, Monaco, Naples and Sicily A and Barcelona A+.
Oh dear! Sounds like this ship constantly has toilet problems. Think I'm going to pack a gas mask as well!
Does it affect all decks? What cabin did you have? I'll try to avoid it!!
I wonder how many passengers were affected by this problem? Did everyone complain?
Hey, but at least the food and itinerary was good.
How does the song go! Always look on the bright side of life.
Cruisegirl welcome to Cruise Chat wow sounds like that Voyager needs some work I hope they get it together soon. At any rate you sound like you had a great time with the excursions so that is a plus.
