I am planning a cruise in december and I read a review about problems with this ships sewage system (gas!) Can anyone provide info about this problem? Thanks!
We were on the Monarch in May of this year, We had an inner room on deck 5. I never smelled anything. It's one of RCI's older ships but it was clean and well kept just like all the other RCI ships we've been on.

I heard back from my TA and he said he contacted RCC and there "was" a problem, but it was rectified. The CDC inspects the ship before and after every cruise, and the ship is supposed to be Ok now. Thanks everyone for the input!
I have read today on three sites that the Monarch is being dry-docked in Jan 2006. RC did not confirm yeah or nay when i called ? I am wondering if anyone knows if this is to further adress sewage smells / issues - or - renovate units ?
I am looking for anyone with info on rooms 3004 - 3006 - 3008
Was told : noisy and tunnels out windows = no views??
anyone with info to share ?
thank you !!!
I talked with RCC tonight and they stated that this was a "scheduled" dry dock, nothing wrong, just routine maintenence on the ship.
They were kind and assured me my Dec 5 cruise was still scheduled without probs. I'm SO antsy I could SWIM!
