I've heard from a few people that they bring bungee cords to hold the doors open. Is there no way to keep them open without cords or rope? Or am I just gullible?
The balcony door can be locked in place by turning the handle in the opposite direction. This is so the door won't slam shut or open when the seas get rough.

That's a new one for me. You might try just leaving the door open just enough to hear the ocean. How do you hear the ocean when you're sleeping?

The subconscious hears much more and on a different level than the conscious state of mind. Those who fall asleep with the radio have been proven in sleep studies to not sleep as soundly as those who have natural sounds in the background. The mind is quite fascinating, as are all the studies.

I tried leaving our balcony door open one night, but I became afraid someone would leap the balcony decks and come into our cabin. Come in for what? Who the heck knows? Just made me feel very uncomfortable to leave that dad-gummed door open all night!!
I have to laugh at that because on my last cruise my godsister shared a cabin with me and my sister and she had us close the balcony every night because she said there may be sea monsters and she was serious she says no one can say there is and no one can say there isn't I laughed at her for 7 days because of that we would come back to the cabin and she would be all closed up in there curtains shut and everything.
You made my day!! Maybe Nessy (The Loch Ness monster) was out there. Honestly, what scared me about leaving that balcony door open was all that humidity that made my portable DVD player and my videocam go on the fritz!
So what you're saying is....if I leave my balcony door open I might get some action...so you're saying there's a possibility????
That's it- the door stays open!

Psycho, have you ever been on a cruise? My subconscious tells me not.
