thank you so much for your review, Im off on Saturday and now after seeing your pictures I just cant wait! I asked Dave when he was on board about music by the pool and he said there was some days, can you let me know if it was a reggae band or was it mixed or was there any?!!!!
corkgirl...we never saw a band on the pool deck but, that doesn't mean they didn't have one. We stayed on our balcony for sail away so, they may have had one then. They did have music through an audio system but it was mostly 50-60 rock.
The midnight buffet is long gone. I'm sorry.
You will have a great time! Enjoy all the shows!

On my 4-night cruise they had a poolside "island-style" band with reggae and the steel drum variations on popular songs. I thought they were quite good. This was the only band I saw up there.

Yes this will keep me happy!, As there are 4 full days at sea its nice to have some light music playing by the pool! Cant believe the midnight buffets are finished, we had one in October 2008 on Liberty, was it down to finance, Im presuming it had to be, it was some spread of food,
Finance and waste. With all the dining options staying open longer, room service, and 24hour pizza, the midnight buffet has lost popularity. I've noticed on several of my recent RCI cruises, they've had a big display at the entrance of Windjammer with ice and food carvings on the first day.
awh, I always thought that was a secret little gem that happened in the dark of night, it was amazing, to look at the food not to mention eating it! ah well cutbacks!!
