Well I am a little late in replying, but we did have a wonderful Thanksgiving/weekend. Here in Missouri, we had temperatures of hi 60's/low 70's which was just awesome for this time of the year. Now we have ice (sleet yesterday) as of November 29th and it is snowing now. As you know....we have to take the weather as it comes. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif I can't wait until spring of next year to take my cruise. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif
Thank you everyone who have responded in the past to my questions in regard to the Adventure or Serenade of the Sea ships. |
Brneyes,
What part of Missouri are you in? I have lived in Belton, Warrensburg area, & Independence. My family still lives in Independence. They are enjoying about 6 inches of snow right now. I just teased them about us running around in our short sleeve t-shirts here in North Carolina because it's so warm here. Linda |
Linda, I actually live in Kansas City, (Gladstone)MO. I work about 2 minutes from the airport. Talking about Independence, yes, I used to live in the Centropolis area, off of Truman Road. When I was young, my mother and I would go to Independence square and do our "shopping." http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif
I don't know if you have ever heard/been to Branson, MO? Anyway, it is not to far from Springfield, MO. Actually we have a lake home right out of Branson, MO. Yes, I know what you mean about the snow. Fortunately, it passed us (where I live) by. We only got ice, and that is enough for me. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_frown.gif The reason I say that is I broke my ankle on ice and they almost had to cut it off, it was so bad. So ice and I don't get along. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif North Carolina is a long ways from Missouri. Did a job or otherwise that you that direction? Yes, talking about being warm, when it comes to cruising, I always head for the Caribbean. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif |
Wow, what a small world! I used to live in Independence and I had a barber shop in the Fairmount area on 24hwy. I met my husband and we moved to North Carolina where his home is. We went to Branson some to vacation years ago. I always loved Silver Dollar City, that would be cool to have a home there! When our son gets older I would love to take him to places like that.
Well we are new to cruising. October will be our very first cruise and we choose the biggest ship.. Freedom. I can't hardly wait, just like a kid waiting for Christmas! Nice to meet you! Linda |
Hello, I would love to respond back right now, but this is a very busy time of the year for me. I will respond back later, but I want to wish everyone that is involved with writing into Cruise Critic, a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
