This is probably a question directed to Sonny but anyone with info please reply as well. We would like to do a galley tour on our upcoming cruise on Voyager. I know Sonny being Diamond+ gets to do this often. While we are just Diamond what is the likleyhood that we could do a galley tour? Who should we ask?

Ally, definitely ask at the Purser's Desk if there is going to be a galley tour. There is often a tour for Diamond and higher, and if not, they may be willing to put one together.

Galley tours aren't as hard to get on as bridge tours are. I would ask the Loyalty Ambassador if it's possible. It isn't a perk for diamond members, but there are special groups that get tours. There is a limit to how many people can be on a tour. I've been able to take some of my friends on different tours, but I had to get permission to do that. When you become diamond plus, you get an invitation delivered to your cabin. I'm pretty sure there are no tours on 3 and 4 night cruises. I hope you get a chance to do a galley tour, you'll enjoy it.

We did a galley tour on a Carnival ship MANY years ago (it was my first cruise) but I didn't have my camera with me. Stupid I know but hey, live & learn.. I will be sure to ask the pursers desk about it. Voyager is a 7 day & we are on the last Galveston port before it goes over seas. Thanks for your answers!

You definitely can't get an engine room tour, couldn't even before 9-11. We had friends who operate heavy equipment and this was an area of fascination for them, so they got a crew member to take their camera for a tour. It wasn't the same as being there, but they got some fun candids of the engine room crew and a lot of really HUGE equipment.

I never would have thought about sending my camera in with someone. Might try that this cruise... Thanks for the info!
