Hi Mark,

with so little information available, it is difficult to impossible to help. Which line and ship are you booked on, and what is your current cabin category?

Best regards,

I am sailing on the "Sovereign Of The Seas", the cruise line is Royal Caribbean Cruises, my cabin is approx. 3/4 of the way up front, my state room is on the outside, on B Deck. Thanks for your help.

Hi Mark,

all outside cabins on decks eight and lower are of the same size, so you would have to upgrade at least to a Cat. D cabin to get a slightly larger room. As for the location, the higher in the ship the more expensive the cabin is. However, cabins on lower decks are subject to less movement.

Personally I would stay with the cabin you have booked. All cabins onboard "Sovereign of the Seas" are pretty small, but it's okay for a short cruise and even the "larger" cabins are not larger than the standard cabins on ships operating longer cruises.

Enjoy your cruise!

Best regards,

Hi Mark,

Being that this is your first cruise I would stick with the room that you have booked. If you really enjoy the cruise, and I'm sure you will, you may want to upgrade to a balcony next time.

It also really all depends on your preferences too. If you plan on doing a lot of activities and spending very little time in your room then the cheapest cabin is the best way to go.

If you are like me and love just relaxing and looking out at the ocean, then a balcony is preferable.

Whatever you choose, have fun with it!
