Sonny- I know you're all knowledgeable about RCI. I've been reading that RCI now provides reserved seating in the show lounge, pool, ice rink for all pax who travel in suites. Have you experienced this on you last RCI cruise?
Do they also apply this perk for the Diamond or Diamond + pax?
This seems a little unfair to all the other people & if it's so, how did it work out?
Somehow I would find it unfair to stroll in at the last minute & sit up front in the show lounge when others have been sitting there for 30 minutes to hold their seat.

On my last cruise I was in a grand suite and as you know, I'm a d+. I've never heard of any reserved seating anywhere on the ship. I agree, it would be unfair. As a diamond plus member, I get bridge, galley, and behind the scenes tours. I'll check into it, but I don't think the people that can afford suites should have any privileges other than concierge service.

This is what I read elsewhere. (I don't think I'm allowed to post the web site) It seems as though it's just being rolled out & will spread to the other ships shortly.

"Just returned from the 9 August Liberty of the Seas sailing. The conceirge lounge was for suite guests only - but a new twist was added - suite guests had reserved seats in the theater, ice show, and even on the pool deck. Not enough if everyone used them but there was never a problem in the theater even if the show was beginning, ice show was the first two rows on the side. Wonderful new perk for suite guests. All you did was show your conceirge card as they always had people checking for identification before they let you use the reserved areas."

Another post said "There was also reserved seating in Windjammers for breakfast and lunch (in Portofino's)."

On the "Freedom" class ships the concierge lounge is only for people in grand suites and above. There is the Diamond Club for the diamond members. I just found out that a diamond plus member can request seating in the theater; I wasn't even aware of that. There must have been a special group on the cruise that person was talking about. Seating isn't normally reserved for the ice show or the windjammer. This is how rumors start.

The comment was made about an August 9th Liberty of the Seas sailing.
