got a BIG ORANGE BOARDING TIME ALERT!!! anyone else?

I have always arrived at the port around 11 and been on the ship by 12 and enjoyed my vacation a few hours longer. We just recieved our packets for our 3/25/07 sailing on the Explorer and there is a BIG ORANGE CARD THAT READS "BOARDING TIME ALERT!

It says due to increased security for all passengers please do not arrive at the port before 1 pm. It says due to regulated capacity limits officials may "deny access" to terminal building to those arriving prior to clearance of the past cruise.

Has anyone got this card and ignored it? I hate to miss my three hours of free cruise time.

I got one of those on my last two cruises. Just do things the same way you did before. I did and there was no problem.

So they want 3600 people standing around outside the pier? Not likely. I think these cards are meant to make "a dent" in the early arrivals in hopes of at least cutting down on the early numbers.

Just got my docs today and it got the same notice you did. Nothing is keeping me from heading over @ 11:00 and getting my vacation started!

GOT MINE FOR THE FREEDOM SAILING ON 2/17..PEOPLE WERE BOARDING BY 12 SO JUST GO AHEAD AND GET THERE EARLY

I got my docs last friday, no orange flag
leaving on April 1st on the Jewel my plan is the same as everyone. I don't know why they wouldn't want you on early gotta pay for drinks somewhere!

I got my orange card as well, but we definitly plan on being there early by around 12. We have no choice, as we are flying into ft. lauderdale by 10.

Hey Sonu,

I'm on your ship and I didn't get an orange flag. Mind you I didn't get baggage tags either. I'm supposed to pick them up at the dock.

We arrive in FLL at 10:45 am and then shuttle over to Miami so we should be there by noon.

It's even snowing in usually rainy Vancouver so this vacation couldn't come at a better time.

we arrive by 10:15 in FLL, so we should be at the docks by 12 as well. Agreed, this vacation could not come at a better time, T.O. just got dumped with 20cm of snow.

all flights were canceled. Thank god we weren't leaving today. The forecast should be much better for Saturday. See you there man.
