Hi,

I am getting married soon on liberty of the seas. I was just wondering if anyone has attended a wedding or had one on this ship. Please any information on cruise ship weddings would be great.

My husband's nephew was married on the Majesty. They were allowed to board quite early--I think they got married by 10:30 a.m. The ships photog. did the pictures and they were lovely, and were done before there were other cruise passengers milling about. They loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat, however I am really short on details, sorry. I have seen any number of brides on the ships when we have boarded previously so I am sure they have the whole wedding package down to a pretty good system. Best of luck in this endeavor.

Hi bride2be, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and great selection to do it on board! Try using your "Find" feature in the upper left hand corner. Search the entire board for posts. There have been a few. Maybe not on your specific ship, but you might be able to get a general idea. Some friends of mine did a honeymoon/wedding cruise, but they were married in St. Thomas. Best wishes for a fantastic cruise, and once again, welcome aboard!

Congrats on your marriage. My wife and I got married on the rhapsody back in August of 2005. It was wonderful and they take care of everything. My wife and I boarded along with our guests around 10:30am. She dressed in her cabin and I dressed in my moms cabin. Your guests are allowed to tour the ship until the wedding. Our wedding started at 1:00pm and ended at 3:00pm. We only purchased the one hour reception. The provide a full buffet and drinks with one of the packages.
At 3:00 the make an announcement to your guests that everyone not going on the cruise must exit at this time. Then you go to your room change clothes and let the honeymoon begin.

Hi myself and my wife got married on the Liberty in April 08.
Its was the best day ever.
We decided to get married in the Caymen islands as we later found that there was 6 other weddings on the ship but they all decided to get married in the port of miami on the first day. Thats fine if you like 2500 walking in on your wedding pictures.
The photographer is amazing.
After the ceremony in the sky light chapel we had 3 bottles of champagne and 2 cakes oredered we had the toast in the cloud nine room as we only had 8 guests.
we then went on to have more photographs around the ship.
After all that had finished we had a few drinks in the hoof and claw bar.
Then went on to our wedding meal in the portofino which we arranged when we got on board the first day.
As the staff in there were amazing as they let us dress the tables.
After the meal we hit the casino and then down to the night club a great way to finish our perfect day.
If you want a few secrets to save you some money please email us and we would be happily to show you.
Hope there was enough information for you here.
Good luck and congratulations.
