Just back from the Freedom....some info.

Hi there Ms. B.,

We were not able to disembark until just before noon. Really a pain since we had to be out of the cabin by 9:00 I think (?), and all of the onboard shops were closed! I remember something about an "express checkout" though that someone else here might be able to give you more info. on. The transfer fee was $20.00 per person I believe....but not worth it in my opinion. We ended up taking a taxi after we got into Miami and saw the gaggle of people waiting for the RCI transfer..that ended up saving us a lot of time at check in for the cruise.

Was there a reason why you couldn't get off the ship until noon? Customs and Immigration hold up?

Don't know Dave. All I remember is that everyone had different colored tags on their luggage and we were blue. Everyone disembarked according to their luggage tag color category. There were even people behind our group as well.

Not that it means anything, but from our Freedom cruise the times were as follows:

7:30 - beige 1, beige 2, lavender, gray
8-8:30 - yellow and red
8:30-9 - brown and orange
9:30-10 - blue and light blue
10-10:30 - green, purple 1, purple 2, pink 1, and pink 2
