I took the April 19 cruise through the Panama Canal. The cruise was great. The problem was a shore excursion. We signed up for a river kayak trip. We were dumped into a heavily trafficed bay in a strong wind. We wasted a day of vacation due to a terrible shore excursion. A complaint to the cruise company resulted in a letter today saying too bad...the cruise line doesn't care about fraudulent trips. Very disappointing since this was the most expensive cruise we have taken in 21 years of cruising. Great cruise. Zero for customer service.

Hi cicero, welcome to Cruise-Chat. If you had told the tour excursion desk on board, you may have had better luck with a partial refund or perhaps an on board credit. I'm sorry you see it as a wasted vacation day, but it must have been a very bad excursion. Glad to hear that the cruise was good overall. On your next cruise, if you book an excursion through the ship, be sure you tell them while you're on board if you're not satisfied. They may not be able to do much, or they may be able to give you a partial refund. But, if they receive enough complaints about a particular excursion, they will pull that from their offerings. 4 of us had a bad experience with an excursion in Puerto Rico. We went to the excursion desk that night and the next day they had refunded the entire cost of all 4 of us.
