Kim2Tak is correct. Genesis will dock in Ft Lauderdale. RCI is building a new terminal specifically for it.

It will be in Ft. Lauderdale. They will be upgrading terminal 18 to accommodate the Independence and the Navigator in the first stage, and doubling the size in the second stage to accommodate the Genesis. We'll all be paying around $6 more for a surcharge to help pay for this upgrade.

We may not do the inaugural cruise but I would like to get on it fairly soon. The wife and I were sitting around this week trying to figure out when we could swing going again. It takes a while to save enough and with one in school and a teacher/wife, it is very hard to get away in December when we like to go. They had better build a bigger terminal for that beast!!

My guess is that with a project of this magnitude (never built this beg before) and the rumors they have had of schedule delays, that they would wait until it is further along an they have some good commitments out of the ship yard (Akers) as to when they could really deliver.
