On average the Caribbean temperatures are usually quite comfortable year around. It really depends on any arctic air blasts in the winter months. It was so cold last week because the jet stream came from the arctic straight down to the Gulf Of Mexico and across Florida and then back up the east coast. This is one reason why it was colder at my house in Alabama than it was at Lisa's in Boston. This is a rare event.

Pretty much anytime from March through November it is warm in the Caribbean. Remember that as you approach the equator the weather tends to be constant 365 days a year because the earth's rotation has little effect on weather patterns.

Dave's right....we've had some nasty cold snaps down here this winter (lows in the upper 20s), and those temps are always accompanied by wind, so I'd at least bring a light jkt....plus the first night on deck can be a bit on the chilly side as well...

It is on deck 6 above Bolero's. If you look at Bolero's from the Promenade you'll see the patio above it. You access it by snaking along from the elevator lobby on deck 6 starboard side. Key card gate, although when I went there the first time the gate was stuck open and people were wandering in and out.

We had so many D and D+ members sailing that they didn't use the lounge for cocktail hour. We set up on Deck 4 in a couple lounges.

Thanks. I suspect there may be a few D and D+ on our cruise also. We leave in 12 days. Can't wait.

Bob, have a wonderful time! Did you get advance reservations for shows, restaurants, etc?

Enjoy!

The Diamond Lounge was open last week but only for coffee. They had a full serve Diamond breakfast on deck four in one of the side dining rooms....very nice.

In the evenings, they re-located to the Blaze nightclub on deck 4. Very nice with drinks and snacks from 5-8:30

Hi Sandy,

Yes, got all the reservations for the shows...what a great way to handle it....Just found out my TA (which closed it's doors just before Christmas) didn't pay my airfare (but did pay the cruise)...So had to pay it again..will get it back from my credit card company...It's a big mess here in Minnesota..Lots of people didn't get their cruises paid for nor their air....but I can't wait to get on the OASIS...yikes...I'm bringing my GPS so I don't get lost....:-)

I just got off the Oasis last week and have some info the shows. If you are unable to get reservations for one or more of the shows, just head down to Deck 4, Studio B as soon as you board. They have staff there who will fit all the shows into your schedule. Also, on the comedy shows, they added a number of midnight comedy shows which were very close to the earlier shows. Adults Only! Also, 10 minutes before show time, remaining seats are released to guests who line up.
