Nancy gave me the name of a reasonably priced hotel near the port in Cape Canaveral. I think it may have been Comfort Inn but I'm not certain. I had said that I wanted one somewhere around $100 or a little higher. I thought I could come back to the post when we were ready to book but now I can't find it.

Hi Marian.
We just spent the last couple of days adding forums and then reorganizing the site so that it will be easier to find answers to your questions. Unfortunately, in the process we have moved some posts to new forums and they are not where originally posted. Topics regarding hotels in ports, etc, have been moved to the Port of Call forum. Here is the link to your original post: http://cruise-chat.com/eve/forums/a/...1/m/7511045341
We were just @ Port Canaveral in June. Stayed @ the LaQuinta in Cocoa Beach. (stayed there last October as well) Very nice hotel with a huge pool. Excellent continental breakfast, and just across the street form the beach. It was about 10 minutes drive to the port. I would highly reccomend it. We paid $89 with AAA discount.
Hello,
I will be porting out of Port Canaveral in Sept. I have booked with the Raddison for $139 per night it is a cruise special that includes parking for the week and a free breakfast on Sunday morning. Did you have the same kind of package?
My husband and I are sailing on Sept 25. We are very excited as this is our first cruise. We were not planning on staying a night previous to the cruise it was a decision we just made this week. I called my agent and he recomended the Radisson. We were able to get in the cruise package so we could leave our car for the week. We are driving from Hilton Head SC and did not want to risk any kind of traffic on Sunday morning .
Arriving the day before a cruise is the way to go. My husband and I tried it this year and it completely changed the cruise experience.
We live quite a ways from our local airport and had to get up pre-dawn the morning of the cruise. We worried about our luggage arriving on time. We only had a couple of hours on the ship before it left port. All in all, it was a stressful day.
This time we slept late and left our house mid afternoon. No rush. No worries about luggage. We arrived around 9:00 p.m., had a liesurely supper and went to bed. The next morning we slept late again and still were some of the first on board the cruise ship.
Hi Chase, I live in Lexington, SC. So you decided to drive to Florida. Me and my fiance' cant decide whether to drive or fly, what made you choose? The prices I see right now around around $520 round trip for both of us to fly + a car rental if decide not to go strait to the ship.
