Let the grumbling begin. Press Release
This is an increase of $1.90 per guest/per day. Current figures are $12 per day for suites and $9.75 for other cabins. |
I honestly don't think it's that bad. We usually give over the suggested tip amount anyway. Their staff works really hard for their money, and an extra $1.90 a day isn't going to kill me http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif. A raise within 13 years? Most of us grumble if we don't get our annual raise!

and it's still less than other lines. I think it was $11 pp on our last HAL cruise.
|
NCL is $12/pp per day.
|
Still a good deal....:-)
Pay 'em:-) |
We usually tip more than the recommended amount anyway. They deserve it!
|
Anyone who grumbles about this clearly doesn't have a heart. I did not realize it had been that long since the amount had increased. I do no know one person who wouldn't complain if their wages hadn't increased in such a long time.
I will gladly pay the increased amount and then some for the fantastic service that I receive from some of the hardest working people I have ever met. God bless them, Brad |
Not that I'm the most frequent cruiser, I don't think this is such a big deal. It's basically one booze drink less per day to cover the charges they earn every day. Well worth it
|
I don't thinks it's bad either. Some of the hardest working crew and lowest paid are the cabin stewards. They deserve a raise in my opinion.
|
I don't think this is that bad either. Definitely worth it, though, considering how hard some of the crew work. An example, on my Enchantment cruise in 2009, my dining room waiter was also the person that greeted people at the dining room for breakfast / lunch.
