Hi i am going on cruise may 25th arriving in oralndo the 24th staying at the doubletree universal studios i will be taking a taxi to the hotel from the airport then shuttle the next day fronm the hotel to the ship. Should i just rent a car fron the airport and return it at the ship the next day or how is the shuttle service from the hotel is that ok any help i would greatly appreciate

It would probably be easier to do it the way that you have planned. Take a shuttle to the hotel and a shuttle to the port. Maybe someone is more familiar with Port Canaveral than I am, but I doubt there is a drop-off for rental cars at the port. So, I would imagine, you would end up having to take a shuttle from the rental car place anyway. Hope you have a wonderful cruise!

Penny is right. You have to drop the rental car off at the rental location a few miles from the port then they shuttle you over to the pier.

I went on Mariner 2006. Rented a car (from Budget I believe) at orlano Airport, stayed in Daytona Beach 1 nt at a Courtyard, returned the car near the pier and they then shuttled us to the pier. When we returned they (Budget) picked us up at the pier and we re-rented a car for the day for our evening flight out of orlando. For our family of 6 it was a substantial savings rather than the shuttle. Plus we had the luxury of stopping at a great super target near Orlando airport for those last minute and forgotten items we always need.

Next week we are flying into Fort Lauderdale Sat AM, renting a car and leaving it at Miami airport the next day we're they said they will also shuttle us to the pier.

Thanks for all the info i think i will leaveit the way it is taking cab to hotel then use the sip shuttle no need to run around renting a car cause it will be the just the 2 of us thanks for all the input
