RCCL charges more for certain states

Does anyone know that they had to pay more cause they were from certain states. Is this legal?

The cruise lines offer "regional specials" from time to time. The differences between different U.S. states are fairly small in comparison to the differnce between e.g. U.S. fares and fares for passengers from Europe on some lines.

There was a time when booking a cruise in the U.S. instead of in Germany saved me 60-70% despite the then very strong US$.
