Royal Caribbean announced that its first quarter profit fell 92% from the same period last year - even though its revenue rose by 6% to over $1.2 Billion for the quarter (wow).

Reportedly, the profit decrease is due in part to higher operating expenses for its cruises (plus, I assume, becuase of its purchase of Pullmantur.)

Does this spell price increases for its future sailings?

Should loyal RCL cruisers send in donations to help the line? I am willing to start the ball rolling by returning the t-shirts I got with my ShipShape Dollars

Their response was another they removed some of the inventory to europe including the new Freedom class in 2008 (the last name eludes me right now)

Ther is just too much competion in the Caribb which is killing the price.....

Overbuilding has a tendency to do things like that.
