RCI Alaska 8/1/08 -- will the family -- grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins automatically be seated at the same table or do we need to arrange by special request? We have the early dining time.

Thanks

How many of you are there?....most of the tables on for 8 people, and usually they can put a large group next to each other....If you booked all the cruises at the same time, they usually seat you together or near each other...The other thing you could do, as soon as you can, find the Maitre D and explain your situation...If they can, they would try to arrange for seating....Someone with more information on large group seating will pobably answer you question better than I did...You will love Alaska...Happy Cruising....

Thanks. We booked at the same time, but some of our meal time requests did not come through until this week.

BarMitzvah, make sure your individual bookings are all cross-referenced with the cruise line. Your travel agent probably did this when the rooms were booked, but just double check. When RCI sees bookings cross-referenced, they're seated together.

If you are booked as a group booking, your travel agent will be asked to provide the cruise lines with information as to who would like to sit with whom.

On the day you board the ship you'll be able to go your tables--if there has to be a change, they will accommodate you if possible. You only need one person from your group to do this.

We sailed with 20 family members back in Dec. They sat us in two tables of ten right next too each other. Just check with your travel agent and make sure everyones information is cross referenced
