I would like to hear from someone that experienced the Explorer of the Seas. Or from someone that would be experiencing the Exploring of the Seas soon. Thank you
We went on EOS in August to Bermuda. Sunday to Friday out of Cape Liberty. First cruise for our family. It was a gift from my mother in law (Nice Gift!). My 14 yo son, my 7yo daughter , and I were very eager to go. My wife was very apprehensive. We had a family meeting and explained that we would miss her and we were going! By the end of the cruise, she was already planning the next cruise! Something for everyone.
We're going out of Bayonne- Do you see the huge Bayonne Steel Bridge from the ship? We are coming up a day early to go to the Statue of Liberty, but can you see that from the ship also?
You can see the Statue of Liberty from the ship. I'm not sure of the Bayonne Bridge, I thought we went under the Verazzano Narrows Bridge. Get to the front of the ship on the highest deck. You'd swear the ship is going to hit the bridge. LOL
We sailed on the Explorer last year and are going again next. If one has never cruised or never cruised on a ship of that size, they'll be absolutely bowled over. The staff and crew provided outstanding service and always with a smile. Vessel was spotless, dining terrific, entertainment excellent (especially the ice show)and of course, the Royal Promenade mind boggling.
A cruise, especially on the Explorer, I should think would rank among the more memorable vacations one would ever take.
Hello travelismybag, welcome to Cruise-Chat! I just got off the Mariner today and I was on the Explorer in Spring. I couldn't tell you which one I like the best because their both fantastic ships. One thing you don't what to miss is the ice show.
We went on the Explorer of the seas, in June 2005 to the Caribbean. We are now going on the September 28th Canada and New England cruise. It really is a beautiful ship.
