Any new Genesis info??

I just was wondering if anyone has any new info on the Genesis ship. I was on the shipyard website, that built the Freedom and Liberty. They said they received an order in february for the ship.

They listed it at 220,000 tons!! I LOVE the big ships. Any other big ship lovers out there?? Anyone heard when it will be out cruising, and its itinerary? I am sooo ready to cruise her.

You will have to wait a while. The first Genesis ship is due out in Fall 2009. 220,000 tons 5400 passenger at double occupancy. There is a third Freedom ship due out in Spring 2008. It is yet unnamed.

Based on the size of the ship, itineraries will be very limited. It will definitely be a Caribbean itin and call on destinations such as Cozumel, Mexico; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Grand Cayman; and the like.

I'm with you Lori. After my husband and I cruised on the Mariner we don't want to cruise on the small ships anymore. We are booked on the Freedom April 29, 2007. I am allready planning a trip on the Liberty. I bet you are looking forward to your cruise in December. I have cruised on Carnival 5 times, Princess once and RC once. I liked RC the best, but I am sure you will have fun on any ship
