Well I board in 4 days and I feel like a balloon ready to burst, all the excitement minxed with anxiety! Am I forgeting something? Is there something I should have done and didn't know about? Am I still breathing? Is it allways like this or is it just first timers worries? Is there anyone else going on this cruise (Grandeur OS 1/19/09) If so let me know so I might not feel so alone. Thanks
It is a normal reaction to your first time. Just find a moment of calm to review everything and make sure you have all your documents, passports or other acceptable ID, your Set Sail Pass completed online, etc. It will seem like a whirlwind at the pier but before your senses fully return you'll find yourself deposited on the Grandeur with a goofy smile on your face.
Just remember - those smiling waiters with the trays of welcome aboard special drinks are NOT giving them away!
Yup, still feel that way. If you have all your pertinant paper work that is nothing else you won't be able to figure out if you forget it. You are going to islands, not being stranded on one.
Check your seapass account on your TV daily if your ship has that option which will save you from the next breathless/giddy/overwhelmed feeling: the day you get your final bill for a week of fun and libations.

I leave in 3 days and I'm nervous and excited too...and it's my 21st cruise...Every cruise is exciting.....oh, it's -24 here right now...should have gone last week....Happy Sailing..
Every cruise is like a brand new experience for me, too! I'm giddy about my cruise coming in in December and I haven't even paid in full Don't forget your luggage, SO and/or children, your paperwork, your identification.
Best advice I ever heard was this. Lay everything out that you're going to take along. Clothes, shoes, passport, tickets, money, etc. The put away half of those clothes and double the amount of money.
Enjoy your cruise.

Have you ever talked to anyone who said "I didn't bring enough clothes?" We are down to two moderate sized bags now that we have a little experience. My advice to the ladies out there: Bring one pair of shoes. If it doesn't go with the shoes of choice, jettison. EVERONE says they bring too much!
