Another quick question. I just saw where from San Juan down is an hour ahead of us...What do the cuise ships do? I don't remember changing our watches when we were down in the Eastern Caribbean 3 years ago.
kclvt,
The decision whether to change to port time or remain on ship time is completely at the discretion of the captain of the vessel and is not even consistent from port to port or within a cruise line. If there is more than 1 ship in port, you will often find that some of the ships are on island time, others have not changed their clocks to reflect the port time. Sometimes you have to wait until the night before you head into port to find out the answer to your question. Most of the island operators work within the confines of this variance.
