Sleep Inn shouldn't be too bad. When I travel (primarily for pleasure), I stay at Comfort Inns, and they are owned by the same people that own Sleep Inn (Choice Hotels). I'm one of those people that can just say "give me a bed and a shower, and I'm good."

Hello, Im just about to book this tomorrow, Dave can you tell me if its expensive from airport to here? Shuttle bus service to the port? Could we walk to some malls like Galleria etc?

The Galleria is not really close enough to the port to walk, but it would be about a 15 - 20 minute cab ride...
The Port is really close to the airport, so I cannot imagine it being too expensive....

From the SleepInn in Dania it would probably be about $35 for a taxi to the Galleria. However, you might be able to take the local bus. There really is pretty decent bus service, and they're not very expensive. Dania is a sleepy little town between Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood. The biggest attraction there is the Dania Jai-Lai, which is close to the Sleep Inn. If you've not watched a Jai-Lai game, you might enjoy it. Very fast moving. I never understood how to bet on it, but I'd bet on colors
