Which ship?

I had planned on the Scandinavian cruise next July but due to my husband being laid off and needing some home repairs I won't be going.
But I have a back up plan. The Jewel is also sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale in December to the Caribbean for a 6 night cruise.
I am torn between this ship and the Grand Princess out of Galveston also in December or late January.
Has anyone out there been on both of these lines? How do they compare. I will be travelling with 2 mature teen agers.

I have sailed on both lines several times before but not both of those ships. I have been on the Golden but not the Jewel. I prefer Royal Caribbean to Princess though the two lines do have a lot of similarities. As for your kids I think RCCL has more to offer to keep them busy and having fun if your kids are active and like to join in.
