cabin choice??

My family and I are sailing on the RCL Explorer in October. We have a balcony cabin(quad) on deck 10 but it about as far forward as you can get on the ship. We sailed on Mariner last year and our cabin was deck 7 midship. You could feel the ship sway a bit but you got used to it The first day I felt a little queasy but once I get my "sea legs" I was okay. I have been reading the postings and I am beginning to think we should try to switch cabins. They had 1 balcony quad cabin open on deck nine towards the back of the ship. Would that be better? How bad is the motion towards the front of the ship???

It6 isn't at all bad unless you hit rough seas and then, it is just a bit more movement.

If you are at all concerned about motion - I would definitely select the cabin on deck 9 aft, rather than one on deck 10 forward. Not ony are you forward (which does tend to feel more motion), but you are on deck 10 (the higher up the more tendency there is to feel a slight sway). Although on the Explorer - this motion is minimal - given the option I would change cabins.

I'm going on the Navigator in a couple of weeks and we have a quard room on deck 9. I'll let you know how it is. I was actually thinking of switching to a jr. suite if one is avail at check in time....
