Bridge Tour

I saw a picture somewhere that had an invitation for a Bridge Tour on the Freedom. Is this something you can request before the cruise, during the cruise or what? I would like to see that and show my daughter as well. Or, is this just something reserved for those with a million cruises under their belt?

No, its not only reserverd for those with many cruises. It depends on the Captain of the ship, if he allows bridge tours or not.

You cannot make a reservation before the cruise. It will be published in the Cruise Compass, or you can ask at the Front Desk.
Sometimes Diamond Members are getting extra invitations for those tours, sometimes they are also not allowed to visit the bridge.

Oppis, when are you going to get this topic right? Diamond members (after 10 cruises) do not get an invitation for bridge tours. You have to be a diamond plus member(after 24 cruises). Stop telling people it will be published in the cruise compass or they can ask at the front desk. They will just be disappointed when they ask for a bridge tour. It is up to the Captian of the ship to allow anyone to do a bridge tour, but, I have never been denied. Most of the time it's only a couple of people getting the bridge tour. I know of a few people who are not diamond plus members that have taken bridge tours but there is a good reason for the Captian to allow it. I don't post pictures of the bridge tours for any other reason they to share. I posted the invitation to show YOU, because you persist to claim it doesn't matter if you are a diamond plus member. I hope someone else puts more light on the topic. I don't want people to be misinformed on cruise-chat. If I'm wrong, I'll stop posting any more comments.

Sonny you are right. You either have to be a Diamond-Plus Member, A VIP, or be Totally lucky to get a Bridge Tour or a behind the scenes tour anymore (since 911) and then its not a guarentee that you will get it. 2 things will change it, 1. the current Homeland Security status and 2. The Captain of the ship. I have had 3 invitations and only got to visit 2 times one being departure from Port Canaveral. The reason I did not get the one visit is the Homeland Security status changed because of the scare about the train stations. But to make it up to me The Captain asked me to eat dinner with him in the Officers Mess. That to me was a better honor anyway. But Sonny is right the people you are telling that they can request or reserve a bridge tour ON RCCL is wrong. I guess they could ask but they are going to be told no because of security issues. ( At least they will be told nicely)
