Have the cruise ships become more strict in confiscating water bottles since the changes in airline rules?

Hello mhoffman, welcome to Cruise-Chat. In answer to your question- Yes, security has tightened since the airlines polices went into effect. It's not worth the chance of spoiling your cruise vacation by trying to get by security with booze in water bottles or disguised as mouthwash. Isn't is great how the terrorist's have changed our life style?

Makes it even harder to take advantage of the duty free costs in getting the booze back. Used to be you could just box it and call it carry on, but now, you have to pack it in your suitcases and hope it doesn't break en route. Otherwise, you pay for shipping which pretty much defeats the duty free part. Yes, times have changed.
