Does anyone know if you have to pay extra to use the pool tables on the Serenade of the Seas and also if you have to book a time to use them or not?

The pool tables are free, just got to give your card at the bar to get the balls. We were on the Serenade for 15 nts this past Oct and i don't think i saw them used twice during the whole cruise.Serenade is a great ship with super great food and service. After 7 cruise's,it has been our favorite ship.

These are not your typical pool tables.

The pool tables have computerized hydrolics in the legs that keep them perfectly level at all times. It's really cool to watch. You'll see as the ship is rolling, even if only a tiny bit, the legs are moving up and down.

The problem with the tables (and probably why you don't see a lot of people playing), is:

Although the table is kept from moving while the ship is, there is nothing to keep YOU from moving with the ship. So the tables are level, but YOU AREN'T!!
It really makes it hard to aim and shoot.

Hope This Helps.

I wonder if that technology (self-leveling) could possibly be applied to shoes.
After a night of clubing in South Beach, such a pair could prove to be invaluable.
