excursion for overweight people

i'm bummed. next month i wanted to do bell helmet diving in bermuda...but i contacted the tour operator and they say there is a 250 pound weight limit. my hubby is 350 (but relatively active). i'm so bummed, does anyone have any ideas? thanks, clo

I don't know a single thing about bell helmet diving but I'm picturing the old fashioned diving suits. I'd imagine the helmets are an average size and just won't fit a big person. Like a medium size football helmet wouldn't fit an extra large guy.

Could you snorkle instead? I think it's a lot of fun. I'm too chicken to do actual diving, but I wouldn't think that size would matter there either.

Are you small enough to do the bell helmet thing? He might enjoy going with you and not doing the actual dive. Men are sweethearts and they can get great pleasure from seeing their loved ones happy.
